The Knight Cappers held their annual baby shower January 25th in Helldorfer Hall. The hall was decorated in a festive baby shower theme, and typical baby shower gifts (layettes, diapers, bottles, wipes, etc.) were collected for needy mothers and given to Catholic Charities for distribution. Over 40 ladies and family members were present and enjoyed baby-shower themed games, activities and food.
Council 511 helped celebrate Right-to-Life Sunday on Jan 18, with brothers talking to parishioners and handing out culture-of-life pamphlets after all masses at St. Joseph’s church. Culture of Life Chairman John Nicholson organized the event which emphasizes the Church’s and the Knights’ respect for life from conception to natural death.
Council 511 and St. Mary Star of the Sea School held a free-throw contest as part of the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Chapmionship. Several dozen students competed in age categories from 9 through 14 years old. Winners will advance to the district competition at Peninsula Catholic High School on Jan 31.
